Academic Achievement Center is
a participant in the Florida DOE’’s
“John McKay Scholarship for Students
with Disabilities. Parents must file an
intent to participate with the Florida
DOE; Students must have been in
public school the entire previous year;
Students must have a current IEP (Individualized Educational Plan).
Scholarship funding is determined by a formula, the “Matrix of Services” which is developed directly from the IEP.
The lowest funding level is sufficient to pay nearly all of Academic Achievement Center’s regular fees – registration, books and materials, and tuition. Higher funding levels can pay for related services, such as adaptive technology, Fast ForWord, Interactive Metronome, speech therapy, or occupational therapy.
